Paris Moulin Rouge

You saw the movie, now see the inspiration behind it. Moulin Rouge literally means “red windmill”. Situated in the red light district of Paris, Moulin Rouge is the place where the Can-Can has its origin.

The doors of this dance hall opened on 6 October 1889. Here courtesans entertained the male visitors by revealing a whole lot of leg. Today the Moulin Rouge still provides shows for its adult visitors. The question remains….can YOU do the can can?
