More than just Amsterdam - it's Holland in a weekend!

Day 2: Volendam, Zaanse Schans
Breakfast on your own time. Enjoy the morning on your own, perhaps a visit to the famous flower markets or maybe a visit to the Anne Frank Museum. You can even rent a bicycle and blend in with the locals! We depart on a full afternoon Holland guided coach excursion. Volendam and Windmill village - This tour shows the typical Dutch countryside of polders and little canals on the way to the ' Zaanse Schans', a well known windmill village with many interesting windmills. We will be visiting a wooden shoemaker here. Then we move on to the world-famous fishing villages of Volendam and Marken - on the coast of the former Zuiderzee (now called Ijselmeer), With its wooden houses and locals wearing their colourful style of dress. On the way, we will stop at one of the very few cheese farms where the cheese is still made in the traditional way. Of course, the artworks are edible and the Dutch won’t let you leave before you realise there is more to cheese than cheddar. Dinner tonight is included in the tour price. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 3: Amsterdam
A full free day to explore on your own. Perhaps a visit to Anne Franks House, the Heineken Brewery, Van Gogh museum, a canal boat cruise or just shopping. You can even take the train to Den Haag, Rotterdam or Brussels. (B)
The coach depart from Amsterdam before 22:00 and arrive back in London at 07:00 (Morning of Day 4)

Day 1: London - Dover - Amsterdam
Check-in with your Expat Explore Tour Director in London. We cross the English Channel via Ferry with great views of the White cliffs of Dover from the Deck.
Arrive in Amsterdam and check in to our very centrally located hostel, walking distance from all major tourist sights. Join us for a special dinner, included in the tour price.
After dinner a walking tour of the world famous Amsterdam “Red Light District”, this leaves the night open to paint the town red! (Dinner)
